1. Why Improv?
Improv creates an opening to change that few other methods can. In improv, we work with exactly what we have -- no more, no less -- and we face many struggles we face in life, work, leadership. Through taking risks, improv training, unique as it is, allows safe and often profound discovery of self, relationships and possibilities of how we live and work in this world. Oh and it's fun.
2. What does the training actually look like?
It is an active session (no powerpoint or desks needed!) mostly on our feet in a circle or pairs, playing games, exercises and drills, always followed by a discussion to connect the game to the theme, message, workplace. Each exercise builds on the previous to make the connections and point we want to make. It is fun. It is freeing. It is safe. Participants will laugh. All are involved.
3. How much does it cost?
The fee varies depending on number of participants, type of session, length of session and more. It is affordable however, and we can easily work within a budget.
4. How do you handle a shy or reticent group or someone who won't get involved?
Many managers/HR folks fear this but honestly, it's never happened. Everyone gets involved. I have never had anyone sit out. I have never had anyone not engage. This work is inviting, inclusive and fun. And I create a safe atmosphere that engages everyone. "Non-involvement" is not something you need to worry about. People love the work and will participate. Guaranteed.
